Waxworms are the caterpillar larvae of wax moths, these worms are bee pests and they eat beeswax. The most interesting thing about them is that they can eat plastic and they eat the plastic that is used to make shopping bags. My hypothesis was that they could be used on a small scale but would be difficult to use on a large scale due to the fact that they could hurt bees and ecosystems if they escaped from an enclosed environment. I think they could be used on a small scale in schools, homes and offices to eat plastic.
